Silver Springs State Park

#1 must-do. Take a glass-bottom boat ride over the crystal-clear springs, or kayak/paddle the Silver River. You can also hike, bike, visit the Silver River Museum and explore the historic Cracker Village.

World Equestrian Center

Even if you're not a horse enthusiast, WEC is worth seeing. It's enormous, beautifully landscaped, has shopping and restaurants, and hosts major equestrian competitions. The complex is the largest equestrian facility in the U.S.

Ocala National Forest

Great for getting out into Old Florida. There are springs, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing and scenic drives. The forest encompasses more than 130,000 acres.

Mark's Prime Steakhouse

Classic upscale steakhouse right downtown. If you want a nice steak dinner in Ocala, this would be one of the first choices.

Stirrups Restaurant – World Equestrian Center

This is the restaurant we'd recommend if you want something that feels uniquely Ocala. You can combine dinner with a visit to WEC and watch the equestrian activity around the Grand Arena
